The International Scientific and ProfessionalConference 13th Ru?i?ka days was organized bythe Croatian Society of Chemical Engineers,Faculty of Food Technology University of JosipJuraj Strossmayer in Osijek and by the EuropeanFederation of Food Science and Technology(EFFoST). The Conference was dedicated toLeopold (Lavoslav) Ru?i?ka, the Croatian NobelLaureate in Chemistry, and was traditionally heldin Vukovar, Croatia, on the 16th and 17th September2010 (the first Ru?i?ka Days Conference was heldin 1978). The 13th Ru?i?ka Days Conference washeld under the slogan “TODAY SCIENCE -TOMORROW INDUSTRY”. The goal of theConference was to present scientific andprofessional achievements in chemistry, chemicaland biochemical engineering, food technology,biotechnology, medical biochemistry, pharmacy,agriculture and forestry, environmental protectionand related disciplines, with an emphasis on theapplication of science and new technologies in theindustry.
