Thepresentpaperprovidesinsightintothevalidationofcomputermodelsusedforsimulationsofoffshorewindturbines.Theoffshoreturbinesareaffectedbyenvironmentalconditionsthatmustbeloggedduringthemeasurementcampaignoftheprototypeandusedforthesimulationsduringthevalidationprocess.Asimplegenericmethodologyispresentedtobeusedforthecomparisonofstatisticaldatafromthemeasurementcampaignandthesimulations.Thisallowsabetteranalysisofthesimulationsandhelpslimittheapparitionofoutliersinthemeasurements.AnexampleoftheuseofthemethodologyisprovidedwiththeuseofthedatarecordedfortheAD5-1165MWturbineatalphaventus.Forit,theturbinepower,operationalparametersandbladeandtowerloadsarecompared...
