1. 1. The placental transmission of cholera antibodies from mother to infant rabbits has been demonstrated.2. 2. Ten-day-old rabbits derived from mothers immunized with live vibrio vaccine were immune to cholera infection, but those from mothers immunized with heat-killed or formolized vaccines were not.3. 3. The agglutinin titer gave no indication of the protective power against vibrio challenge.4. 4. The technique of placental transmission of antibodies could be used for the standardization of cholera vaccine.5. 5. The use of live vibrio vaccine as a cholera prophylactic is suggested.
