ABSTRACT The pesticides concentrations in drinking water were determined at different sampling stations in northern suburbs of Tehran during fall and winter 2008-2009. The level of residual concentration of pesticides was determined by HPLC and GC/MS technique. The results showed that the most widely used compound is imidocloprid and the recorded chromatograms by HPLC and GC/MS for drinking water of each village do not show any pesticides of any kind in the sources of groundwater in this region.
