LMO4 modulates proliferation and differentiation of 3T3‐L1 preadipocytes

PreviousmicroarrayanalysesrevealedthatLMO4isexpressedin3T3‐L1preadipocytes,however,itsrolesinadipogenesisareunknown.Inthepresentstudy,usingRT‐PCRsequencingandquantitativereal‐timeRT‐PCR,weconfirmedthatLMO4geneisexpressedin3T3‐L1preadipocytesanditsexpressionpeaksattheearlystageof3T3‐L1preadipocytedifferentiation.FurtheranalysesshowedthatLMO4knockdowndecreasedtheproliferationof3T3‐L1preadipocytes,andattenuatedthedifferentiationof3T3‐L1preadipocytes,asevidencedbyreducedlipidaccumulationanddown‐regulationofPPARγgeneexpression.Collectively,ourfindingsindicatethatLMO4isanovelmodulatorofadipogenesis...
