Canine Leishmaniasis, Italy

摘要

We report the results of a survey to determine theprevalence of canine leishmaniasis and the presence ofsand flies in northwestern Italy, where autochthonous fociof canine leishmaniasis have not been reported. Active fociof canine leishmaniasis were identified, which suggeststhat the disease is now also endemic in continental climateareas.
