Three recent drinking-water–associated cryptosporidiosis out-breaks in Northern Ireland were investigated by using genotyp-ing and subgenotyping tools. One Cryptosporidium parvumoutbreak was caused by the bovine genotype, and two werecaused by the human genotype. Subgenotyping analyses indi-cate that two predominant subgenotypes were associated withthese outbreaks and had been circulating in the community
