Clinical and epidemiological aspects of Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever in pregnant women in South Kazakhstan

Background: Viral infection may play a crucial role in the course of pregnancy, fetal development and newborns health. A decrease of immune resistance due to the intoxication and stress, will disturb the equilibrium between the virus and the host's immune response, cause severe consequences for mother and fetus. Our purpose - to investigate clinical and epidemiological aspects of Crimean Congo hemorrhagic fever in pregnant women in South Kazakhstan.
