Brucellosis is a systemic infection which can involve any organ or system of the body. Liver involvement is frequent in both acute and chronic brucellosis. Usually a slight increase in transaminase levels and mild hepatosplenomegaly occur and sometimes acute hepatitis develops, but it is rarely the only clinical manifestation of the infection.1 A case is reported here where hepatitis was the only manifestation of acute brucellosis.
