摘要

Densities, viscosities, and speed of sound have been determined atT = (303.15, 308.15, and 313.15) K for the binary mixtures of methyl benzoate with tetrahydrofuran, 1,4-dioxane, anisole, and butyl vinyl ether over the entire range of composition. Using these measured values, excess volumeVE, deviation in viscositiesΔη, excess Gibb’s free energy of activation for viscous flowΔG*E, and deviation in isentropic compressibilityΔkshave been calculated. These calculated binary data have been fitted to Redlich-Kister equation to determine the appropriate coefficients. The values of excess volumeVEand deviation in viscositiesΔηare negative over the entire range of composition for all the binary systems at the studied temperatures. The behavior of these parameters with composition of the mixture has been discussed in terms of molecular interactions between the components of liquids.
