Due to the overwhelming numberof studies published each year, systematicreviews are becoming increasinglyimportant in health caresettings. Systematic reviews aim toprovide a comprehensive, unbiasedsummary of all of the relevantstudies for a specific health care issue,emphasizing specifically theuse of rigorous methods that are reproducible.Librarians support thedevelopment of systematic reviewsin a variety of ways, including butnot limited to, serving as expertsearchers, methodologists, protocoldevelopment assistants, and otherroles.
