A CPN-based Software Testing Approach

As a graphical and mathematical modeling tool,CPN (Colored Petri Net) is often used to describe thetransition of states for an information system. Theadvantage of CPN model is that the model can be simulateddynamically. This paper presents an approach to generatingtest cases based on a transition graph of CPN model. Thetransition graph provides a solid basis for test casesgeneration in a form that can be easily manipulated. Thecase for vending machine illustrates the effectiveness of thismethod.
