Dynamic scheduling algorithms are gaining moreand more special attention for their satisfying robustnesswhen confronted with unexpected events as well as theirconsiderably high performance in scheduling. Anorganization structure for intelligent job shop schedulingbased on MAS (Multiple Agents System) is put forward toachieve effective and efficient production. A hybrid multilayeragent structure is put forward to facilitateconstructing various agents. Consequently, all resources in amanufacturing system are reorganized into an agilemanufacturing network of agents of autonomous andcooperative characteristics. Regarding wasps as a specifickind of agents, wasp colony algorithms are used to solve jobshop dynamic scheduling problem. Based on the principle ofthe wasp colony algorithm, two different algorithms, namelythe routing wasp algorithm and the scheduling waspalgorithm, are combined to solve the job shop dynamicscheduling problem. The algorithms are modified to betteradapt to job shop dynamic scheduling environment. Thealgorithms are developed based on Eclipse 3.2 and J2SE 6.0.Simulation experiments are accomplished and experimentaldata are analyzed. The results show that the principle of thealgorithms is simple, their computational quantity is small,and they can be applied to multi-batch dynamic schedulingwith unpredictable entry time due to their favorablepotential.
