Structural Join in the ‘XSQS’ Native XML Database

摘要

Query processing has attracted significantattention since XML database is proposed. This paperfocuses on structural join mainly in our native XML storageand query system (XSQS). A hybrid structural join strategybased on tree-merge algorithm and stack-tree algorithm isproposed. Moreover, a path index scheme is designed toaccelerate the query processing. Experimental results showthat the proposed hybrid strategy and the index have a goodperformance in query processing of XSQS.
