摘要

Modern design method can not only make up theshortcomings of the traditional design method, but also becompared on the computer, it can save a lot of trial andtesting costs in new product development and play animportant role in optimizing the existing products. Thispaper studies the modern design methods of hydraulicmachinery by the use of computational fluid dynamics (CFD)combined with CAD, which improves the blade shapeaccording the analysis results to achieve the best design.Firstly the CFD calculation of the flow is applied to therunner blade of francis, then we analysis and evaluate theflow character and cavitation characteristics of the flowfield in the inlet of the blade under the large flow, finally wecarry on improving the inlet flow and cavitationcharacteristics by rebuilding the blade shape, the simuliatonresults show the modified runner has better resistance tocavitation
