Chemistry is the base for the branches of medicinal chemistry,biological chemistry and pharmaceutical chemistry. Chemistry is abasic broad science, embracing the concepts of creation of moleculesand the manipulation of atoms. Te role of chemistry in present daylife is vast. It helps in the science of medicine. Chemical researchgoes hand in hand with medical research. Chemistry is an aid toagriculture. It covers interactions with plants, animals and humansthrough agriculture, biology and medicine and with the physical worldthrough electronics, new building materials and new sources of energy.Applications of chemical science have contributed signifcantly to theadvancement of human civilization. With a growing understanding andability to manipulate chemical molecules, the chemist is considered asocietal problem solver. Tey play a signifcant role in the eradication ofdeadly diseases by developing life-saving pharmaceuticals and chemicalpesticides. Te chemical industry has been a vital sector of the modernindustrialized economy and for the development in the Medicinalchemistry. Development of chemistry has revolutionized the basis ofmodern medicine. Application of chemistry from dyes to therapeuticshas brought about incalculable benefts to humanity. Chemist is themagician who can turn waste products into things both beautiful anduseful. Waste products like saw dust can be made to yield oil and acids.Marvelous indeed are the achievements of modern chemistry.
