The Criminal Law (Amendment) Bill, 2003: an overview

The Indian law is about 150 yrs. old, that too on the lines of the English and the Mughallaw. With the advancement of the society, the Indian law needs up gradation to over come thehurdles in the legal system. For this purpose, the Parliament made a department – relatedParliamentary standing committee on home affairs to review the legal system and submit itsreport about the amendments in the law. The standing committee summated the one hundredand eleventh report on the criminal law (amendment) Bill 2003 of which few suggestions arediscussed.
