Study on Spatial Heterogeneity of Landscape Fragmentation and its Urbanization Response

Spatial heterogeneity is an important sign to reveal the spatial differentiation of geographical phenomena. Based on remote sensing image data of Chengdu 2nd layer TM/ETM satellite, I carry out analysis on spatial heterogeneity of landscape fragmentation in 2000, 2008 and 2016 by landscape ecology index and statistical methods. It mainly includes establishment of landscape fragmentation measure model and spatial auto-correlation analysis, analysis on grey correlation for spatial heterogeneity of landscape fragmentation, and the ecological process of space-time response mechanism for urban space expansion and urbanization rate. The study results have shown: Patch shape, quantity and structure of landscape pattern are the three principal components of landscape fragmentation heterogeneity; total space variance of landscape fragmentation of Chengdu City in 2000 and 2008 have become relatively ease, and total space variance was strong in 2016; Moran’s I in spatial autocorrelation of landscape fragmentation is rising from 2000 to 2016 and the performance is space aggregation of high and low values; in the landscape level, degree for landscape fragmentation in city center and suburb is much lower than that in rural-urban fringe at the edge of city. And the it shown the “low-high-low-high-low” trend along the urbanization gradient from the center to the outskirts, which performs “M” type space-time response relationship; and the relationship between landscape fragmentation and urbanization level has shown the reverse “U” type space-time response relationship, and the landscape fragmentation has reached its peak when the urbanization level is at 43% to 56%.
