Manure wastewater pollution has become a serious environmental problem.Manure wastewater concentration by flocculant can reduce pollution load. In thisresearch, effects of four single flocculants and their pair composite flocculants werestudied. According to filtrate volume, pH value and absorbance of filtrate, optimal dosagesof single flocculants were screened. Results showed optimal dosages of Polyferricchloride (PFC), Polyaluminium chloride (PAC), Polyaluminum ferric silicate (PSAF) andChitosan (CTS) were 0.1%, 0.1%, 2% and 1%. Maintaining the optimal dosage of CTSof 1% invariable in a composite flocculant, the other flocculant dosage was changed. Results showed optimal proportions of PFC to CTS (composite flocculant A), PAC toCTS (composite flocculant B) and PSAF to CTS (composite flocculant C) were 1, 0.5, 1.Based on the above optimal proportions, optimal dosages of composite flocculants weredetermined. Results showed optimal dosages of composite flocculant A, B, C was 1%,1.8%, 1%. Based on the above optimal dosages, effects of composite flocculants weredetermined according to moisture reduction of filter cake and light transmittances of supernatant. Results showed composite flocculant A was optimal judged by the maximummoisture reduction of 33.28% and excellent light transmittances of supernatant morethan 95%.
