One ultra wideband antenna design method based on U-groove asymmetrical ground band stop has been proposed to improve the rationality of ultra wideband antenna design and the performance of antenna signal transmission. First, geometric structure and dimension of ultra wideband antenna design method based on U-groove asymmetrical ground band stop has been offered, frequency empirical calculation formula of its stop band and frequency band center has been offered and antenna geometric parameter is attained finally through optimization; second, make research on notch characteristics of ultra wideband antenna of U-groove asymmetrical ground band stop, offer notch functions at different bands as well as the influence of parasitic band on voltage standing wave ratio of antenna; finally, make simulation verification through the design effectiveness on ultra wideband antenna.
