One-dimensional(1D)andtwo-dimensional(2D)magnetotelluricdatainversionwereconductedtorevealthesubsurfaceresistivitystructurebeneaththeeasternpartofavolcanoinCentralJava,Indonesia.FifteenmagnetotelluricsoundingdataspanningtwolinesofinvestigationwereinvertedusingOccam'sinversionscheme.Theresultdepictthatthereareextensivelyconductivelayer(2-10ohmmeter)belowthevolcanicoverburden.Thisconductivelayerisinterpretedastheclaycapresultedfromthermalalteration.Ahigherresistivitylayer(10-80ohmmeter)underliestheclaycapandisinterpretedasthereservoirwhosetopboundariesvarybetween1000maboveand2000mbelowsealevel...
