Instrumentation system design and laboratory scale simulation of landslide disaster mitigation

Researchonlandslidehasbeendevelopedrecentlybecauseitmayendangerhumanlife.Landslideisthemovementofrock,detritus,orsoilscausedbytheactionofgravity.Landslidesareinfluencedbyseveralfactorssuchasgroundslope,degreeofrainfall,landcover(groundlayers),andthevibrationaroundtheslopes.Fromthesefactors,tiltdetectionsensorsandsoilmoisturesensorhavebeendevelopedtodetectlandslidefailure.Thesesensorsmountedsothatitcandetecttheoccurrenceoflandslides.Thestudywasconductedonacontainerwhichcontainstheslopingground.Landslide,slopeprocesses,andsoilhumiditywereinvestigatedinthiscontainer.MMA8451QaccelerometerwasusedasatiltsensortodetecttheaccelerationassembledinMEMS(MicroMechanicalSystem)technologysinceitiseasilyavailable,mass-produced,inexpensive,andhigh-precisionoutputdata.Landslidesimulatorhasbeendevelopedhencetheprocessleadingtolandslideeventcanbedirectlyanalyzedwithouttheneedofreallifeoccurrenceoflandslides.Thesimulatorwasmadefromglasswithsize80cm×20cm×40cmthatwasfilledbysoil.Basedonthesimulationresults,therewerechangesonaccelerometerandsoilmoisturedataduringthelandslideoccurrence...
