References(6) Numerical calculations were performed with an iterative linear programming method for the purposes of predicting the optimum spectral power distributions and the lighting characteristics of fluorescent lamps. Linear programming was used in order to minimize the range containing local solutions and insure convergence to the optimum solution. The optimum spectral power distributions of fluoresent lamps making all of special color rendering indices of R1 to R8 95 or more must be composed of four narrow spectral bands heving a radiation peak af 470, 530, 580 and 620 nm.
