Length-weight relationship, condition (K) and relative condition factor (Kn) of four mugilid species (Liza melinoptera, Liza macrolepis, Valamugil speigleri and Mugil cephalus) from the Karachi coast were determined. Log transformed regression was used to check whether the growth of these species was positive or negative allometric. It was observed that Liza melinoptera and Valamugil speigleri were showing negative allometric pattern of growth (b<3.0), while Mugil cephalus and Liza macrolepis indicated positive allometric pattern of growth with b-value greater than ideal value (b=3.0) Such deviation of b-value from the ideal value was found to be statistically highly significant (p 1.0) revealed that these fishes were in good condition on Karachi coast.
