摘要

Teleconferencing is the act of meeting andexchanging information through a telecommunicationmedium. In teleconferencing system, networkengineers are faced with different challenges like bestprotocols requirements; impact of Quality of Service(QoS) to be used to meet up with the latest networkprotocols and appliances in the design ofteleconference system. This paper presented acomparative analysis on two network protocols in ateleconference system, Transmission Control Protocol(TCP) versus a User Datagram Protocol (UDP) wasevaluated and compared applying Optimized NetworkEngineering Tools (OPNET) simulator. Theexperimental result showed differences in number ofvideoconference sessions, with few Packet Per Seconds(PPS) recorded in both the UDP and TCP, therebyreflecting the correctness of this comparativeevaluation task.
