DSL Development based on the Generic Syntax

The use of domain-specific languages(DSLs) can improve the productivity of softwaredevelopment. However, the complexity of DSLdevelopment prevents more wide-spread usage of thistechnique. In this paper a framework of languageconstruction is proposed that aims to supportreusability of language elements and tools andtherefore lower the cost of DSL development. It isbased on the generic language that provides a syntacticsubstrate for developed languages. Language elementsare evaluated using special functions that areexpressed in existing general-purpose language. Asystem for static checking of code is also included. Thepaper presents example languages implemented usingthe prototype of proposed system.
