ABSTRACT Salt accumulation leads to a decline in species richness in aquatic ecosystems. The effects of salt (NaCl) stress on plant growth and antioxidative responses in giant duckweed were investigated. NaCl significantly reduced photosynthetic pigment accumulation and inhibited plant growth.
