ABSTRACT Diquat (6,7-dihydrodipyrido[1,2-a:20,10-c] pyrazinediium ion) concentrations in Crystal Lake, Middletown, CT, USA were monitored after diquat was applied in late April to the southern half of the lake to control curlyleaf pondweed (Potamogeton crispus L.). Limnobarriers were installed around a small island and a stretch of shoreline to protect Vasey's pondweed (Potamogeton vaseyi J. W. Robbins), which is an aquatic plant listed as ``threatened'' in Connecticut. Surface and bottom water.
