ThefirstrecordofPenicilluscapitatusLamarckfromtheGulfofAntalya(Turkey)isreported.ThespecieswasfoundonlyinthetypicalstageinApril,MayandJune2006andinJune2007.TheoccurrenceofthistropicalspeciesintheGulfofAntalyashouldbeconsideredasasignoftheclimaticchangetowardsa“tropicalization”thatisaffectingtheMediterraneanSea.
