LATEST DEVELOPMENTS OF THE FARMERS’ SOCIAL SECURITY SCHEME IN POLAND

The main purpose of this paper is to analyze thelatest legal changes to the farmers’ social security scheme inPoland. The research was based on both national legal actsand draft laws that constitute an explicit base for the currentand recent changes to the farmers’ social security scheme.The author intends to identify fundamental legal amendments,indicate the direction followed by the domestic farmers’social security scheme, and evaluate the importance andconsequences of recent legal developments. The researchwas based on the Act on the farmers’ social security schemeof December 20, 1990, which also constitutes an explicitlegal base for the national farmers’ social security scheme,and on other legal acts
