摘要

One of the main topics of our paper is how to determine the shape of sliding surface approximately in jointed or crackly rock slope. In this discussion, a physical meaning of sliding analysis proposed in this paper is pointed out. This finding comes from the two different points of view that Fellenius method is adopted as a practical method to evaluate the slope stability for non-circular sliding surface analyses. Based on this standpoint, the problems will be solved when we revise the unsuitable technical terms to reasonable way.
