Japan Architectural Review is an open access journal that leads an original field characterized by the unique combination of architectural engineering and architectural design. In Japan, the field of architecture consists of architectural engineering and architectural design. This style and system started in the 19th century and formed a unique community in the world. The Architectural Institute of Japan (AIJ) plays a central role in this unique field. Science, technology, and art are the three main objectives and targets of the AIJ.
