Meta-Design of a Community Digital Library

摘要

Thecommunitydigitallibraryhasemergedasarecentevolutioninthedevelopmentofdigitallibraries.Acommunitydigitallibraryisdistinctthroughhavingacommunityofpotentialusersdefineandguidethedevelopmentofthelibrary.Inthisarticle,wepresenthowthegeosciencecommunityhasworkedtodevelopTheDigitalLibraryforEarthSystemEducation(DLESE)inthelightofrecentworkintheareaofmeta-design,thedesignofthedesignprocess.ThedevelopmentofDLESEisdescribedutilizingaconceptualframeworkdevelopedfromtheanalysisofavarietyofopensourceprojects.
