摘要

The human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine reduces HPV-associated diseases such as cervical cancer, vulvar cancer, anal cancer, and genital warts. Three doses over 6 months are recommended for adolescents at age 11 or 12 before they become sexually active.1 Since HPV causes 70% of cervical cancers, compliance with HPV vaccination would especially benefit Native Hawaiian and Filipino populations who have low cancer screening prevalence and the highest incidence and mortality rates of cervical cancer.2–5
