In this article the global trends in bike-sharing are revealed. In particular, abrief review of the emergence of and improvement in bike-sharing systems and thenumber of countries who have introduced bike-sharing, as well as the size of the bikepark in various countries, are revealed. The features of the bike-sharing systems adoptedin Spain, the Netherlands, and Denmark are considered. The bike-sharing system in thecapital of Kazakhstan is shown, revealing the problems faced by the cyclinginfrastructure in the country. As seen in other countries, the concept of luminous bikepaths designed with national patterns was developed, which were planned to be located inparks in the cities of the republic. This project is expected to enhance tourism in theregion.For Kazakhstan, research into bike-sharing is particularly relevant, but lack of suitablecycling infrastructure, inadequate statistics, and inadequate literature on the topicobstructs comprehensive research into the problem, due to which there persists a logicalquestion: is the bike-sharing system in the urban logistics of Kazakhstan a myth or anapproaching reality?.
