CONDITION FOR APPLIC ATION OF LOGISTIC PR INCIPLES IN PRACTICE OF URBAN PU BLIC PASSENGER TRANS PORT IN THE CITY OF OMSK

摘要

The task of increasing efficiency and quality of public transport has gottenspecial acuteness for large cities of Russia in connection with expansion of service bycommercial carriers. There have no works done on the city of Omsk, where the transportsystem has its own characteristics. In this paper, characteristics of Omsk urban publictransport are researched. The scheme that clearly demonstrates what factors have anegative impact on the development and functioning of the Omsk passenger transportsystem is developed. The measures that improve the efficiency of the passengertransportation system and provide an opportunity to advance the implementation oflogistics principles are proposed. The activities took into account the experience ofreforming the public transport system in other cities, the characteristics of the Omsk citysystem and a view to engagement of other scientists in this field of science.
