摘要

The paper is focused on the issues of surface quality of products made of brittle materials. The main aim of the paper is to present the methodology and the results of measurements of selected surface texture parameters performed as the continuation of previous work. The parameters were measured after ultrasonic assisted grinding and conventional grinding processes in selected machining conditions. The machining process was performed on the hybrid Ultrasonic 20 linear machine tool with the use of the diamond grinding pin. Measurements were performed on the Talyscan 150 profilometer. The results of measurements were analyzed using the profilometer software. Two samples (workpieces) made of brittle materials were used for the study. Ceramic and carbide inserts, which are applied in turning operations, were applied as the samples.
