摘要

Alterations of the circadian rhythms in blood pressure (BP) and heart rate (HR) have been associated with anincreased cardiovascular disease risk. The influence of alcohol consumption on the circadian rhythm characteristics of BPis here examined, and the extent to which such alteration of the circadian BP rhythm contributes to cardiovascular diseaserisk is assessed.
