摘要

Introduction Rapid response team (RRT) systemsare widely utilized around the world, particularlyin high-income countries.1 The rationale behindthese systems is that early identification of deterioratingpatients hospitalized outside of intensivecare units (ICUs) should decrease in-hospitalmorbidity and unexpected mortality. It is additionallyincreasingly recognized that such initiativesenhance communication, facilitate professionaldevelopment, and may help improve thequality of end-of-life care.
