SPEKTRUM DRUHOV RODU FUSARIUM IZOLOVANYCH ZO P?ENICE SLOVENSKéHO P?VODU V SEZóNE 2008SPECIES SPECTRUM OF THE GENUS FUSARIUM ISOLATED FROM SLOVAKWHEAT IN SEASON 2008
The aim of this study was to analyze endogenous and superficial mycobiota of wheat, harvested in the 2008 season from several localities of Slovakia, with focus on the genus Fusarium. Direct method of storing sterilized wheat grains on agar plates with DRBC (dichloran rose bengal chloramphenicol agar) and DCPA (dichloran chloramphenicol peptone agar) was used for determination of endogenous mycobiota and plate dilution method on DRBC and MEA (malt extract agar) was used for determination of superficial mycobiota. Twenty out of the total 21 samples of wheat grains were found to be positive for isolates of the genus Fusarium. The spectrum consisted of 15 species: F. acuminatum, F. avenaceum, F. graminearum, F. crookwellense, F. culmorum, F. langsethiae, F. oxysporum, F. poae, F. proliferatum, F. sambucinum, F. semitectum, F. subglutinans, F. sporotrichioides, F. tricinctum and F. vericillioides. The highest frequency of incidence pertained to F. poae (76.2 %), F. avenaceum (66.7 %), F. graminearum (47.7 %) and F. sporotrichioides (47.7 %). The highest relative density with in the genus Fusarium was represented by the species F. poae (in 6 samples), F. culmorum (in 2 samples), F. avenaceum (in 1 sample) and F. graminearum (in 1 sample).
