Introduction Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS)is the most common endocrine disorder amongwomen of reproductive age and is characterizedby hormonal, biochemical, and metabolic abnor?malities.1 Recently, bisphenol A (BPA), a mono?mer widely used in the production of polycarbon?ate and epoxy resins and as an additive in poly?vinyl chloride,2 was linked to the pathogenesisof PCOS.3 In terms of its mechanism of action,BPA can interact with both estrogen and andro?gen receptors.
