style="text-align: left;">Fifth in a series concerning design of connections in precast concrete structures, this paper reports an investigation of the strength and stiffness of base-plate connections between precast columns and their footings. Test results for 23 specimens are presented and discussed. Computed and measured performance characteristics are compared, and suggestions for practical design are made.
