Biomass Concrete: Challenges and Future

Biomass is currently considered as an emerging technology.The application of Biomass in concrete is still prohibited frommany agencies such as the American Society of Testing Materials(ASTM) and the American Concrete Institute (ACI), however itwas reported that some preliminary results are promising andit is feasible to use biomass in conventional concrete. Woodis considered a biomass source, burned as fuel to generateelectricity or to produce heat. Very limited and almost noextensive research has been conducted on the implementation ofbiomass in concrete.
