Main sources of communication noise are: the engine together with powertransmission system, tyres which cooperate with the road surface and aerodynamicphenomena. Together with the speed increase the dominant source of noise is aerodynamicnoise and noise generated by tyres cooperating with the road surface. Methods of reduction ofcommunication noise level can be divided into legal (norms) and technical ones. Amongthe technical solutions of noise level reduction there are acoustic screens, improvement ofcondition and type of the road surface, active methods as well as solutions applied by vehicleproducers – improvement of aerodynamics of vehicle, use of tires with decreased noiseemission, the so-called “green tyres”. This article shows the analysis of the communicationnoise danger for housing estate on Pi?sudskiego street near road S86 in B?dzin.
