Limitation of the market mechanism in prices formation is connected with theintroduction of social policy elements to price policy. The elements are taken into accountboth in the fee amount and in the assignment of free fares and discounts to various socialgroups. The article presents the tariff-ticket system applied in municipal transport ofmunicipal corporations of Upper Silesia Voivodeship.
