This is Paul Sax, and I’m editor in chief of Open Forum Infectious Diseases, and joining me today is Andy Borowitz, who is not an infectious disease specialist but is a New York Times bestselling author and a comedian and who has been a writer for The New Yorker since 1998. He is author of The Borowitz Report, a satirical column that appears regularly in The New Yorker, and has also written multiple books, articles, and television comedies. He has appeared in just about every venue except a peer-reviewed medical journal, until today.
