摘要

Energy storage by using latent heat with phase change materials (PCM), in construction, can produce improvements in the thermal conditioning of buildings and reduce energy consumption. For its possibility of use in building materials, the microencapsulated paraffin appears as a technological good alternative. This paper expose its application to cement mortars in quantities of 10, 15 and 20%, with two types of Portlandcement and water / cement ratios of0.5, 0,7 and 1,0. It also verifies theeffect of polypropylene fibers in mortarmixes with microencapsulated paraffin.The results allow to see the effects onthe properties of the mortar, showingstrength and density reduction.Backgrounds that bring to the designof such mixtures are provided.
