PLANT-PHYTOPATHOGEN BACTERIA INTERACTION: CASE STUDY Ralstonia solanacearum-HOST PLANTS

> face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" size="2">Ralstonia solanacearum (Smith) Yabuuchi is the causal agent of bacterial wilt. This disease affects some important crops such as: tomato, potato, tobacco, banana, eggplant and some ornamental crops specially in tropical and subtropical areas. It has been very difficult to control the disease due to its wide host range, distribution and high variability. In this paper, the bacterial pathogenecity mechanisms as well as the molecular ones for the natural and induced resistance in plants are exposed.
