LA DIGESTIóN ANAEROBIA COMO ALTERNATIVA DE TRATAMIENTO A LOS RESIDUOS SóLIDOS ORGáNICOS GENERADOS EN LOS MERCADOS MUNICIPALES

The generation of solid wastes in markets and tianguis is managed and disposed of with other municipal refuse, which has an impact on the environment. Although these organic wastes are a potential source of organic matter. This project was carried out to evaluate the efficiency of an anaerobic digestion as a treatment of the organic fraction generated in these sites. Physical and chemical analysis were carried out. The results indicate that anaerobic decomposition is a safe and efficient method for this kind of solid wastes, which are wet, acid and fibrous. The experimentation phase was carried out in laboratory with an indian digestor. A seven day retention time was determined as the optimum for the process of matter digestion.
