This pictorial essay reviews pertinent gastric anatomy and suggests specific imaging protocols for evaluating the stomach. Common and uncommon gastric conditions that may prompt evaluation in the emergency department are addressed, with a focus on clinical symptoms, imaging findings, differentiating features, and potential pitfalls.
